Tata Harrier.ev V2V and V2L: Power Sharing Buyer Guide

If power sharing helps put the Tata Harrier.ev on your shortlist, start with the equipment you expect to use. Naming the recipient vehicle or appliance gives the dealer a concrete compatibility question to answer.

Tata’s October 2026 brochure lists vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging for compatible recipient EVs and vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology for external equipment. Source: official brochure, PDF pages 14 and 44.

Check the connector before ordering

The owner’s manual identifies separate V2V and V2L connectors as accessories and restricts V2V use to vehicles recommended by Tata. Source: owner’s manual, printed pages 59–61.

Ask the dealer to identify the correct accessory part number for your intended use. Have the quotation state whether it is included, its price if purchased separately, and the support available with it. Keep the compatibility confirmation alongside that quotation.

Before choosing the car and accessories, check your indicative eligible amount and estimated EMI to establish a budget reference before shortlisting. Results are indicative; final eligibility, rate, tenure and approval depend on the lender.

Plan the battery reserve and usage

The manual allows a discharge limit to be preset for both functions, with a default of 30% when no limit is set. Its V2L instructions prohibit use in rain or water exposure and equipment needing uninterrupted supply, including medical devices. Source: owner’s manual, printed pages 60 and 64–68.

For your own trip plan, write down the next charging stop and the reserve you want to retain. Ask how to check that setting during the handover. For an appliance, take its model details and electrical requirements to the dealer rather than relying on a broad description such as camping equipment.

Make the demonstration specific

Request a demonstration with the correct approved accessory and applicable manual. Ask the dealer to explain the connection checks, status display, normal stopping procedure and storage. Use that session to resolve your intended equipment’s suitability before buying it.

Build the final shortlist around the complete ownership quotation, including the accessories you actually want. Before your dealer visit, review your indicative eligible amount and estimated EMI. Results are indicative; final eligibility, rate, tenure and approval depend on the lender.
