Maruti Invicto Alpha+: Tailgate, Driver Memory and Rear AC Guide
The Maruti Suzuki Invicto Alpha+ adds convenience features that deserve a hands-on demonstration, especially if several family members share the car. The current NEXA India brochure, feature chart on PDF page 15, lists a powered tailgate, ventilated front seats and an eight-way powered driver's seat with memory for Alpha+; these are absent from Zeta+.
Rather than judging the upgrade only from cabin photographs, work through a normal arrival and departure: adjust the driving position, settle passengers, load bags and park. This guide uses the current India specification and does not present the equipment as a newly announced launch.
Powered tailgate: test it where you will load the car
Ask the dealer to explain the approved opening and closing controls using the vehicle handbook. Then inspect the available space above and behind the car. A garage that accommodates the vehicle with its tailgate shut may present a different loading situation when the door is open.
Keep the demonstration area clear and learn how to interrupt movement using the specified controls. Do not assume hands-free operation, a particular opening-height setting or an obstacle-detection capability merely from the brochure's powered-tailgate description. Have the dealer identify the documented functions on the exact vehicle.
Driver memory and ventilation: try both regular drivers
Adjust the seat and steering position for each driver, then ask how the memory settings are stored and recalled. Check visibility, pedal reach and the ease of entering and leaving the car. Treat these as personal-fit checks, rather than assuming that powered adjustment guarantees comfort.
Try the ventilation settings while seated and have the salesperson explain their controls. Keep the discussion specific to what you can demonstrate; avoid reading a promise of a particular cooling result into the feature name.
Before shortlisting an Invicto or visiting a dealer, use AutoCred's loan eligibility checker for an indicative eligible amount and estimated EMI. Results are indicative; final eligibility, rate, tenure and approval depend on the lender.
Rear climate controls differ between the grades
The chart lists automatic rear climate control as a second zone on Alpha+, compared with automatic rear blower control on Zeta+. Roof-mounted vents for the second and third rows are listed for both. Source: official comfort-and-convenience chart.
During the demonstration, sit in the rows your family will use and ask which controls adjust temperature and which adjust airflow. Have the dealer show how the front and rear controls interact. This turns a specification difference into an understandable everyday task.
Get the handover explanation in writing
Record the exact variant and included equipment on the quotation. At delivery, repeat the seat, climate and tailgate demonstrations on your own vehicle, and locate the relevant handbook instructions. If a particular function is important to you, resolve it before the order becomes a commitment.
